Edward James Olmos presents the feature film directorial debut of writer/director Richard Montoya. Based on his award-winning play of the same name (originally produced at the Mark Taper Forum) this is the story of two brothers nicknamed “Water” and “Power” by their hard-working father, an irrigation filed man for the infamous Los Angeles Department and of Water and Power. From the blue-collar housing projects of East LA to the very corridors of power where deals are made, the two brothers, one a state senator and the other a ranking LAPD official, have risen beyond their modest roots…but at what cost? Told in the classic A.L. noir style WATER & POWER explores a cautionary tale, with a Chicano twist.
